BRIEF: Corps holds open house on Lock and Dam

June 20–Options for a fish passage at the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam will be discussed Tuesday at an open house in Augusta.

The Savannah District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold the public session from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Boathouse, 101 Riverfront Drive. Officials will give presentations at 4:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. The corps said in a news release there will be an update on the different alternatives being studied for a fish passage at the site of the Lock and Dam, which is part of the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project.
